Debra Sue Page, 62, of Walshville, Ill., died suddenly at her home on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022. She was born Sept. 29, 1959, to Wanda Smeathers in Owensboro, Ky. She met Arthur Page in 1988 and they wed at their home in Mt. Olive in 2001. He survives.

After spending her younger years in Arthur, her family moved to the Mt. Olive area. She attended Mt. Olive schools. Debbie started her work life young and dedicated many years to her love for cooking. After many years of working and running Crossroads Restaurant, she and her husband opened and ran the Sunset Restaurant from 1999-2011. Debbie's family meant more to her than anything else in the world.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Page of Walshville; her son, Shane Embry; her mother, Wanda Smeathers; a step-daughter, Lisa Pellegrino of Hudson, Fla.; and two step-sons, Steve Page of Beverly Hills, Fla., and Eric Page of Hudson, Fla.; siblings, John (Denise) Embry of New Douglas, Patricia Covington of Mt. Olive, Chuck Embry of Burgeon, Ky., Lisa Sanchez of Fordsville, Ky., Dawn Bowers of Walshville, and Michael (Amy) Doty of Hartford, Ky. She also leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews; and 20 great-nieces and great-nephews.


A celebration of Debbie's life was held at the 138 Cafe (formally the Sunset Restaurant) on Monday, Jan. 10.
