Richard Edwin Belovich, 84, of Litchfield, Ill., died at Heritage Health of Litchfield, on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022. He was born May 5, 1937, at home in East Gillespie, to Joseph and Barbara (Gavrun) Belovich. He married Alma Billiter in 1957, and she preceded him in death in 2004.

He was a tool and die maker all his life. He even worked on a part for the first space mission to the moon. He also made parts on fighter jets that fought in the Vietnam War. Richard was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield. He spent his free time with his family and friends. He loved spending time in Disney World with his family. He visited there at least 35 times. He also loved Branson and Silver Dollar City.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Harry) Hegel; grandchildren, Jessica and Jeff Chandler, James and Samantha Dagon, Amy and George Kasarda, Nick and Kristin Hegel, Jackie Lintzenich;13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Joseph (Hedy) Belovich; brothers-in-law, Roy Kirk,Teri and Tonya Billiter; and sister-in-law, Dottie Hamman.
