Delmer Leon Jarman, 87, of Jacksonville, Ill., died Dec. 23, 2021. He was born July 21, 1934, in Sorento, to John and Lucille (Caulk) Jarman. He married Carol Bekemeyer on Feb. 12,1955, and she survives.

He attended school in Sorento and graduated from Staunton High School, then continued his education at Eastern Illinois University. Del spent most of his career in the insurance business, first with Allstate Insurance and later with his own agency, Del Jarman Insurance. He also was in the real estate business with Redbird Realty.
