Judy Lane, 82, of Staunton, Ill., died at her residence on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. She was born Jan. 31, 1939, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Albert and Helen Smith. She married Virgil Lane on May 8, 1965, in Pasadena, Calif., and he survives.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Lane of Staunton; one daughter, Shannon Haas of Staunton; one son, Tommy Lane of Brighton; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Lane; one grandson, Daniel Haas; and a brother, Richard Smith.

A visitation was held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Private interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton.
