The planning that started months ago along with all the follow-up work to make it happen comes together this Friday, Dec. 3.

The tree lighting events in Staunton are officially open from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Businesses are being asked to stay open Friday evening until after the tree lighting and perhaps offer sale items and/or a treat for shoppers. Restaurants were also invited to feature a Holiday Walk special Friday evening.

A very special holiday event scheduled for visitors on both Friday evening and Saturday will be the live nativity on Main Street sponsored by the Staunton Clergy Asso...
