Marilyn Mae DuVall, 90, was called home to our Lord on Oct. 18, 2021, in Tucson, Ariz. Marilyn was born March 12, 1931, in Springfield, Ill., to Warren and Marie Hardy, who preceded her in death. Marilyn graduated from Staunton Community High School in 1949, where she met and married Nicholas Bahn in 1950. They relocated from Illinois to Arizona in 1959. They had five children, Mary Joe, Barbara, Gregory, Christopher and Guy. Marilyn was a great mother to each one of her children.

Marilyn's interests included painting, golf, tennis and entertaining family. Marilyn earned many ribbons and awards at numerous art shows for her watercolor paintings. She certainly appreciated the times she spent at art shows, showing and selling her artwork. Beloved art educator in Tucson, Marilyn formed lifelong friendships with many of her students. She achieved her dream of traveling to France to visit the fine art museums and to paint the quaint village streets and landscapes.

Marilyn's charm, smile and infectious laugh entertained us all at any given moment. Marilyn was a born storyteller. How she enjoyed sharing her 90 years of life experiences with family and friends. She enjoyed her glass of wine in the evening and her favorite comment to say about the small things in life was, "Isn't that just wonderful?"

Marilyn is survived by her first husband, Nicholas Bahn; her two sons, Christopher Bahn and Guy Bahn; her daughters-in-law, Lisa Bahn, Vicki Bahn and Michelle Bahn. Grandchildren include: Summer Bahn, Sophia Arcese, Brandon Stewart, Jade Bahn,Tyler Bahn, Sunny Bahn, Jordan Schor, Jorgio Salvador, Cole Bahn and Marilyn Bahn. Great grandchildren include: Brianna, Logan, Hudson and Ireland Arcese.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas, Allen, Florence, Erma Jean, Margie, and Clara. Her children MaryJoe Salvador, Barbara Tarr and Gregory Bahn. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Rankin DuVall. Aside from children and family, Marilyn is survived by her niece, Lulu Showalter, and her lifelong friend, Mary Kay Scheve. Marilyn spent her most recent years living with family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
