Douglas R. Cummings, 54, of Staunton, Ill., died at Community Hospital of Staunton on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021. He was born Dec. 28, 1966, in Staunton, the son of Peggy (Cummings) Easley and the late Fred Williams.

He was disabled. Doug enjoyed fishing and trapping. John Wayne was his man.... His best friend was his dog, Renny.

No services are scheduled.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Easley of Staunton; two brothers, Brad (Beth) Maulding of Pontoon Beach, Todd Maulding of Hamel; one sister, Kim Easley of Edwardsville; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Scott Maulding; and his significant other, Marsha Guild.
