Adam Louis Brown, 29, of Staunton, Ill., died at Community Hospital of Staunton on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021.

He was born July 31, 1992, in Litchfield, the son of Jim and Leanne (Wray) Brown

He was employed as a bartender at Skeeter's Bar in Staunton. Adam graduated from Staunton High School with the Class of 2010. He later graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville with the Class of 2015.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 6, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton, with Rev. Debbie Jo Atkins officiating.

Survivors include his parents, Jim and Leanne Brown of Staunton; two brothers, Andrew (Allie) Brown of Staunton, and Eric (Surbhi Jain) Brown of Coralville, Iowa; paternal grandmother, Mary Lee Brown of Staunton; maternal grandmother Joy Wray of Staunton; two aunts, Lisa (Ken) Simpson of Sunset Hills, Mo., Cindy (Joe) Pirok of Staunton; one uncle, Louis (Lori) Wray of Lake St. Louis, Mo .; one nephew, Jack Brown of Staunton; and numerous cousins also survive. Adam was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Brown; and maternal grandfather, Louis Wray.


Memorials are suggested to either The National Kidney Foundation, Adopt-A-Pet of Benld, Ill., or to the Staunton Education Foundation. Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton was in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www. williamsonfh.com.
