The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is accepting public comment through Sept. 20 about the abandoned mine lands reclamation projects that have been selected for work through President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). It was a beautiful day golfing at the Staunton Country Club on Thursday, Aug. 8. At 06:43 on Monday, July 29, 2024, the Staunton Fire Protection District (SFPD) was dispatched to the report of heavy smoke coming from a residential structure at 707 East Pennsylvania Street.
