Violinist Nicholas Monahan, a freshman at Staunton High School, won the Advanced Division of the SIUE Suzuki John and Kay Kendall Concerto Competition on Oct. 30, 2021. He will perform the Concerto No. 2 in G Major, 1st movement by Joseph Haydn, as a soloist, during the SIUE Suzuki Ensembles Concert, on Sunday, Dec. 12.
